The analytical and philosophical backbone of a curious, multidisciplined person travelling across the EU & the world.
Pondering Across Europe, Atrophy and Rejuvenation, the Fairphone/sustainability piece. Anything with hard data, historical grounding, or a structural argument you’ll see here!

Pondering Across Europe, Ep. 1, Athens: The Current State of Greece, and a Society Without Trust

This is a new series for my blog, reflecting on the constant changes I’ve been experiencing recently, travelling across Europe in part due to my Erasmus Mundus in Impact Entrepreneurship.

The blogs will combine two very incompatible lenses: a leisure, travelling, and at times literary vibe with images, tips & commentary, and a (philosophically influenced) sociopoliticoeconomic analysis with hard data, sources, and research. How successful will I be in marrying them? You can be the judge.

I will conduct it all with respect, pragmatism, and a (painful to me even, at times) impartiality; always covering both sides of the argument to the best of my ability.

As my dad always said to us all: wear your boots; we’re leaving. Join me for my trips and prepare, with me, to start Pondering across Europe!

Atrophy and Rejuvenation: What Remains of Western Values and the Transatlantic Alliance?

Bonjour! This essay is an exploration of:

  1. The atrophy of Western values
  2. The philosophical roots of that collapse
  3. How my experience in Brussels makes me see there’s an alternative
